Dave & Lori Smith

Dave and Lori Smith are Executive Distributors in SendOutCards and they reside in Draper, Utah. Many of you have met Dave, better known as Super Dave, and his dear wife Lori. Dave travels with me to all the Treatem Right Seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Lori was recently diagnosed with a large aneurysm in her brain. She recently had open brain surgery where they went in and clamped off the aneurysm. This is a delicate and serious surgery and it had us all very concerned. Lori has her own version of what happened on the day of her surgery and in the recovering weeks that followed. You will all have opportunity to hear this amazing story in the near future. I would like to share with you what I observed on the day of her surgery.

We were all sitting in the ICU waiting room at the hospital. The operation took several hours. As family and friends waited in that room, things grew tense. Worry and doubt set in for many. Then the miracle happened. In order to relieve some of his own stress, Dave pulled a stack of greeting cards from his bag. He had over 100 cards that had been sent to Lori wishing her well during surgery. He began to look at each one and then pass them on to the next person.

The mood and energy of that room instantly shifted. Instead of frowns of concern there were smiles of joy. Instead of feelings of doubt there was confidence and peace. Everyone in the waiting room took notice. Even those who were not part of our group caught on to the feel good that those cards brought. It was truly an amazing experience that none of us will ever forget.

There is true magic in greeting cards. It is not the card itself; its the message on the card. That is where the magic is. It is pure energy, the positive kind. The energy that changes lives and makes the world a better place to live in.

As this was going on in the waiting room, Lori was down the hall on the operating table going through the biggest challenge of her life. I truly believe that Lori felt that energy as well. The doctors later told us that her operation ran smoother than any they had ever performed before. Normally, in an operation like this, the patients vital signs go up and down during the surgery. Half of the battle for the surgeons is to keep the vital signs where they need to be. In Loris surgery, her vitals never varied. The doctors mentioned that Lori was calm and confident, a valiant fighter who made things simple for the doctors.

Tammy Tewalt

Tammy Tewalt is a SendOutCards distributor from Sisters, Oregon. She is in the habit of sending out cards every day. She explains that this activity puts her in the send out to give spirit and it affects the things she notices and the deeds she performs every day. Tammy recently attended a Treatem Right Seminar where she heard my story about my fathers money clip. My dad always carried several hundred dollars in a money clip so he could perform random acts of kindness to people in need. This inspired me, his son, to carry a money clip with $1,000.00 in it so I could do the same thing.

On Thanksgiving morning, Tammy ran to the grocery store to pick up some last minute items for their holiday meal. She noticed a lady with three small children walking down the aisle in the store. The lady had been crying. In her send out to give spirit, Tammy walked up to the lady and asked her if she was ok. The lady tearfully explained that she only had $6.00 to her name and she was trying to figure out how to prepare a thanksgiving meal for her children. Tammy remembered the money clip story and had a prompting to act. She opened her purse and pulled out all of her cash. She had around $70.00. She gave the entire amount to this lady in need and wished her and her children the best on this day of Thanksgiving. As Tammy left the grocery store empty handed that day she realized that this was the best Thanksgiving Day she had ever had.

Tammy is an active participant in the crusade to send out the positives in a world that needs it. The result is a manifestation of positive experiences that come back to Tammy.

I encourage all of us to take heed to the challenge of sending that expected or unexpected card every day. Our goal is to consistently send the positives out to the world and help as many other people as we can to do the same thing. As we send cards and help others send cards we provide an example for our SendOutCards family to follow. The result of this is an organization that builds and provides you with wealth in abundance.

CARD SENDER STORY #1

Dear Kody,

I love this business and know (for the first time) that this is the one for me. Last Sunday June 25, my friend and I went to church together. We attend a small church of about 130 people a week. Anyway the storyWeek before last our Rev. as we call her, gave a great lesson on the Law of Attraction. My friend and I talked about it all the way home. Jen, who is also a distributor in SendOutCards sent her a card telling her how wonderful her sermon was last week. When we walked in on Sunday, Donna Jean came running over to Jen to express her gratitude for receiving that card. She said I spent most of the night thinking that I hadn't said it right and people didn't get it. Your card came and I knew that I had touched just one person, that it was good. So thank you for your card I loved it.

So it works just as you have said. It is truly a wonderful service you have brought to us. Thank you for all your work, making the world a better place one card at a time.

Sincerely,
Linda Cameron

CARD SENDER STORY #2

Dear Kody,

I recently just found out that my oldest brother (55) was diagnosed with Stage IV colon/liver cancer. Of course, my entire family is devastated. In trying to decide what we could to do to keep him positive and also express our love.

I gathered my sister and parents around the computer and we started looking for the perfect card. Within a few minutes, we were searching for pictures of all of us with my brother in our childhood and later in life. We began selecting cards and adding pictures and then of course writing the heartfelt words that sometimes we don't take time to say. It was an incredible experience and was an afternoon we will never forget. I have my family hooked on the power of this system and I can't wait to see the reaction of my brother when he receives these cards each day while going through chemotherapy. I can't tell you thank you enough! So, when the days get long (I told Penny, Erik's wife this too) and you wonder if it's all worth the hard work and stress, just know that I am counting on this financially and it has already changed my life.

Thank you,
Michele Adams

CARD SENDER STORY #3

Dear Kody,

I just wanted to tell you a quick story about a spontaneous card I sent after the last Treat'em Right seminar here in Phoenix. I have a buddy I grew up with and even though he lives in town we seldom have time to get together. So I sent him a card letting him know how much our friendship has meant to me over the years. About a week later I came home late from a meeting and found this message on my machine, "Eric I just finished one of the worst days of my life and I wanted to let you know that the note you sent me was the thing that got me through. So if you want to get together and have a beer on me right now let me know!"

So your 100% right, it's a great feeling getting feedback like that.

Thank you,
Eric Splittorff

CARD SENDER STORY #4

Dear Kody,

My SendOutCards sponsor, Mark Herdering, encouraged me to write to you about the following true story.

I understand how sending unexpected greeting cards generates goodwill, appreciation, and thoughtful kindness that benefits the sender as well as the recipient. Additionally, I recognize the opportunities it provides for us to develop our business for the benefit of all concerned. But I'm discovering that sending unexpected cards also provides opportunities to develop trust in our intuitive faculties as well.

Recently, I set up a sample gift account for a friend even though she was quite resistant to the idea of sending out an unexpected card. Two or three times she protested that she couldn't think of anyone or didn't have their mailing address at hand. Suddenly, she relented, admitting there was one person she'd just thought of...someone she hadn't seen in nine or ten-years...that she'd like to reconnect with. Browsing the SendOutCard catalog, she quickly found a card she liked, and typed a brief but heartfelt message. Pulling from memory she typed her friend's address and clicked "Send."

Ten days later, she received a phone call from her friend's husband informing her, sadly, that his wife had died. He went on to explain that she'd been sick for some time, but was thrilled to receive the unexpected card just two days before her death...an unexpected but heartfelt greeting card that almost wasn't sent.

I now realize that there will be times that we never learn about the thoughtful kindness we generate when we send unexpected cards, but we should never doubt that they matter...not only to those who receive them, but to those of us who follow our hearts when we send them. Thank you for the opportunity you've provided us to make a positive difference in people's lives with a thoughtful, heartfelt click of the mouse.

CARD SENDER STORY #5

Hi Kody!

I joined SendOutCards to use they system with our primary business and it has been a huge blessing for us for the past year. I didn't realize just how huge until Hurricane Katrina hit our Southern Team of 75 people. SendOutCards has been a blessing beyond belief!

The day after Katrina hit, I began trying to contact my 75 Team members to see if they were ok, to offer our financial assistance, to help them however we could. I have been a dispatcher so to speak for them as many can reach me (I'm in Indiana), but they can't reach each other. I needed to quickly have their phone numbers and names available to me.

Without SendOutCards Contact Manager, I would have been stressfully trying to find and pull 75 index cards from my filing system for our primary business and compiling a list. But with SendOutCards, because I had entered them all and put them into groups, I literally clicked a couple of buttons and printed off all my people in Mississippi and Louisiana, including their phone numbers!.

In seconds, I was on the phone, reaching out, shipping care packages....helping them; without SendOutCards, it would have been hours to days before I could have compiled their names and numbers!

In addition, I'm creating sub-accts for some of my folks down there who now have internet, and by copying them the contacts I have for them, they can instantly and easily begin sending cards and letting people know they are ok. Their phone service is still difficult and the lines to get stamps, cards, etc is unbelievable if they even have a store open in their area. A stress they don't need right now. By donating points and postage to them, copying them their contact's info I have, and using the internet white pages for the others, they are going to be able to reach out and communicate with their friends and family in other areas, to let them know they are ok.

I have thought many times what if that had been us'...and SendOutCards would have been so good for them to all have had so while they lost their computers, their files, their address books, their homes, they would have at least had all their contacts info safely stored in SendOutCards' database, accessible from anywhere. Please don't ever stop SendOutCards!!!!

This may not seem like a big deal, but with the aftermath of Katrina and the stress it created, it was and is a HUGE blessing and I'm very, very grateful to you for SendOutCards!!!

Sincerely,
Christina Stokes

CARD SENDER STORY #6

Bill Murray is a Business Coach in Los Angeles. He took a group of 30 of his past clients that he hadn't spoken with in months and sent them each a personal "Thinking of You" card.

He received three calls. One resulted in a $19,000 Corporate Contract.
The other two were clients wanting to reinstate their coaching agreements of $2,500 a month each. This added $5,000 per month to Bill's income.

The entire campaign cost him $30 and one "click."

SendOutCards and the Treatem Right Seminar save our friends business:
Submitted by Damon and Lisa Cooke, Reno Nevada

In May 2004 we came over for the Treatem Right Seminar. Damon's best friend lives in Provo, Utah and he was excited to show him SendOutCards. His friend really didn't want to sit through the presentation but did it anyway. He told Damon just yesterday he would have paid $1,000 for it because when he saw what it really was he knew he had to have it.

What we didn't know at the time was that his Rock Climbing Equipment Pro Shop was in danger of going under. He started sending cards to his customers as well as campaigns. Each night when he gets home, even when he's wiped out, he sends 10 cards. It has saved his Pro Shop. Even when he's tired he sends the cards because of the results he's had. Some people call him and thank him for the card; others mention it when they come in the store. How awesome is THAT??? Oh, and this guy and his wife attended one of the Treatem Right Seminars in Salt Lake in the summer of 2004 and they loved it.

An unexpected card blesses the life of my Aunt:
Submitted by Linda Miller, Plainwell, Michigan

I want to share with you the difference one card made in the life of my aunt.

I recently learned that my cousin has cancer and she also fractured several bones in her back, so she has been bedridden in the hospital for several weeks. When I first learned she was in the hospital, I sent a card to her and also to her mother, my aunt Virginia. I included pictures in both of them from years ago in happy moments.

This week I got a handwritten thank you card from Virginia (who is in her 80's). Her message began with, "Just when I needed it most, you made my day! The card you sent to me was so thoughtful."

She told me about some of the details of the progress of my cousin's hospital experience.

And she ended the card with this, "Thanks for the card Linda and the sweet pictures. You are to a lot of people a shining light! Me for one.

A life that was celebrated before the funeral:

I Made my Post Office Workers Day with a simple card:
Submitted by Sally Haslett, Tucson, Arizona

We live in a community where our Post Office employees are residents. One of the ladies (she reminds me of Angela Lansberry) is always so pleasant and cheerful when I go in there. I had not been in for about a month and when I did go last week (to mail a S.O.C. fundraiser packet to a coach), I noticed that she was bald and had a hat on. We all know what that means!

I immediately came home and looked up her address (she did not know me and I looked at her name badge to see her name). I sent the Spirit, Serenity, Strength card to her with a message about how much she always brightened my day with her smile and pleasant personality and expressing wishes for good health.

This week when I took another packet in to mail, I was leaving when she picked up the packet to put in the mail bin. As I was at the door, she shouted, "Whose package is this?" I turned around and saw it was mine. When I answered, she said, "You sent me a card!" I said "Yes ". She then proceeded to tell me how much that card meant to her and how she had it on her desk at home. She finished by saying," That card is a real "keeper". I will always save it! "

I am a retired teacher, and I KNOW what a simple message of hope,
congratulations, or kindness can mean to a student. But sending an unexpected card can mean even more to the person that sent it than the one who received it.

Noel Robinson: Tucson, Arizona

I am honored to share Noel's story for him because he doesn't know about it yet... In the 52nd Eagles View article, Noel read the story about my son Bo who jumped off a 20 foot cliff into the water at Lake Powell. After landing in the water, Bo swam to the boat, climbed in and said: "It's a lot easier when you don't think about it". In the article, I went on to explain the value of those words as they pertain to walking through our fears and pursuing our dreams. Noel had a prompting to send a card to my son Bo and thank him for teaching a valuable lesson.

This one is for you Noel. Here is the rest of the story.

On a Saturday afternoon at our home, Jodi and I were having a serious talk with our 13 year old son Bo. (Yes this is the same Bo from the cliff jumping story.) Bo was going through a difficult time as many 13 year old boys do. He was simply trying to find his way and learn a little about who he was and what his worth was as a person. Bo is a skateboarder and he wants to be the best he can be at that sport. He was having a difficult time landing some big tricks and he was getting upset and down on himself for not landing his tricks. His frustration was affecting his self-worth and he was experiencing some first-time adolescent emotions.

Low and behold as we are having this talk with Bo, his brother, Sawyer walks in with the mail. In the pile was a card from Noel Robinson to Bo Bateman. Let me share with you one of the lines that Noel expressed to our son Bo. He said: "You're an over comer, and that's a great way to be". The look on Bo's face when he read this card: Priceless. Later that evening, Bo was in the backyard landing some of the tricks that he couldn't land before. Oh the power of acting on a prompting and sending a card. I don't make this stuff up. It happens every day and people's lives are being touched for good.
